PROJECT · TIJUANA, MEXICO

A Glimpse into Life Along the Tijuana Wall

Where a border becomes part of everyday life.

In a world defined by borders, I have always been drawn to the places where lines on a map shape the lives of those who live beside them.

This project was born in Tijuana, along the imposing wall separating Mexico from the United States. After years of travelling across the world, I found myself once again confronted with a border — not simply as a political construction, but as a place where stories of hope, struggle, resilience and survival unfold.

The wall divides, but it also bears witness. It becomes a physical presence within the everyday lives of the people who live alongside it, carrying with it the weight of migration, separation and uncertainty.

Through these monochrome photographs, I wanted to look beyond the political discourse surrounding the border and focus instead on the human lives that continue on either side of it. The gestures, landscapes and quiet moments found here are fragments of a much larger story — one shaped by an invisible line that is, in reality, anything but invisible.

A Glimpse into Life Along the Tijuana Wall is an attempt to photograph that space through its human dimension: the lives that persist, unbroken, beside the divide.
